Business of the Year 2006
Congratulations to Mitchell Trucking Company on being awarded the North East Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year 2006. The company based at Riverside Park, Middlesbrough, has now picked up six awards in it’s three year history.
RHA Member Gordon Mitchell and his son Colin founded the business in 2003 in order to be in control of their own destiny, using their combined years of experience in the logistics and haulage industries to fulfill a desire to run a family business.
The company started with just two trucks, one van and four staff, but has grown rapidly in the three years it has been in business, seeing turnover rise by 40 per cent last year and expanding to employ 21 staff. They have also had to move offices to accommodate the growth, and are securing on average two to three new contracts a week.
The company is known for it’s striking vehicle designs with imagesFrom Hollywood movies including, Blade, Pirates of the Caribbean and Pitch Black.
