Funding To Help Gain an LGV Licence in Greater Manchester

There is good news on the driver training front for Members in the Greater Manchester area.

City College Manchester in conjunction with Thomas Hardie's Academy of Driver Training & Development are running 2 schemes:

Scheme 1
Funding is available to give females the opportunity to enter a career as a LGV C+E driver. To qualify 21 years or over, either employed or unemployed and reside within Manchester, Salford, Trafford or Stockport.
Scheme 2
Funding is targeted at employers who have staff who want to up-skill to become a LGV driver or have an existing licence and want to gain their C+E. To qualify 25 years or over, male or female, employed and reside or work within the Greater Manchester area.
