- Truck drivers face tough penalties if found using a hand held phone when driving. From 27th February 2007the penalties increased from a fixed penalty of £30.00 to £60.00 .......... and three penalty points on the drivers'licence.

- Since March 2005 there have been changes to the regulations regarding the compulsory wearing of seat belts while delivering. This change was made to make it clearer just who should wear seat belts. Members are advised to print off and circulate the attached document to drivers who are unclear about this requirement.
