Lift Truck Safety Awareness. Lift Truck Safety Awareness training session is aimed at people working in the vicinity of Lift Truck Operations and covers a wide area of subjects to raise an awareness of the requirements for safe operations of lift trucks.

The course, developed by Arnold Monk an accredited lift truck instructor, who has delivered lift truck training to operators and, instructors for over 20 years.

"The correct use of this essential work equipment is often overlooked but unfortunately there are just short of 2000 reportable incidents each year which in 2006 included 7 fatalities.

Consider also the unspecified costs associated with damage to goods, equipment and buildings arising from unreported incidents."

While there is legislation in place, which requires the training of operators, many people in supervisory roles can be unaware of the requirements for safe use of lift trucks.

Training for these people is also specified in legislation under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
